POOL UPDATE
The Clubhouse Pool and South Meadow Pool are both open! For a copy of the Pool Rules and Schedule as of today, visit https://www.hiddensprings.com/community/the_pools/. A stone mason will be working on the columns at the South Meadow Pool building this summer. The pool will open but note, workers will be onsite to complete the stone project. Please stay away from the stone and refrain from climbing on the columns.
We are still having some issues at the pools. The pools are for the pleasure of every resident and rules are in place to insure the fun, enjoyment and safety for all. The Town Office is still being contacted by residents using the pools, regarding aggressive bullying, unsafe rough-housing by unaccompanied minors, use of the pool after hours, furniture in the pool and underage drinking and smoking in the park behind the Clubhouse.
For community success with self-monitoring at the pools, review the pool rules and share them with minors headed unaccompanied to the pool. Rules and reminders are posted at the pools and are helpful as a point of reference when faced with a “forgetful” pool user who might need a friendly reminder.
In the event that the rules are intentionally not being followed and disregarded, members and/or residents may complete and turn in a Pool Incident Report to the Town Office. Incidents verified by multiple members and/or residents (signature and contact information included) or evidenced upon review of security camera, will result in the loss of pool privileges for 30 days.
In the event the immediate presence of the Town Manager or Assistant Town Manager is required at the pool to address unsafe behavior(s), bullying or harassment, the resident will be asked to leave the pool area and may result in the loss of pool privileges for the season.
Please note, pool cards are issued by lot, therefore, ALL cards associated with the lot will be turned off.
If a resident is verbally or physically abusive to any Association staff member while they are at the pools performing job related tasks, the Ada County Sheriff will be called. We only mention it because it has happened in the past.
HIDDEN SPRINGS SWIM CLUB
Unfortunately, the Hidden Springs Swim Club was unable to successfully hire coaches for this summer season and they will not be able to hold the program this year. “We know how much this program means to our community, so please know we have plans of coming back next year with a 5day/week program and meets scheduled!” The Swim Club Board will start planning early next year to get a jump on the 2023 season! Questions about the Club and/or if you want to get involved, please email hssc.stingrays@gmail.com.
POLLINATOR WORKSHOP AT THE COMMUNITY FARM Monday, June 27 from 5:00-7:00pm
Bring the family and join Lyndsey at the Hidden Springs Community Farm to learn about pollinators and construct an insect hotel for the community farm! The Hidden Springs Community Farm is located behind N 7th and N 8th Ave.
BOISE FARMERS MOILE MARKET/VEGGIE VAN
The Boise Farmers Mobile Market/Veggie Van will visit Hidden Springs Tuesday evenings from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. The van parks on W. Hidden Springs Dr. near the Merc. Watch for Fresh Sheets posted weekly on NextDoor and the Hidden Springs Town Association Facebook page highlighting fresh seasonal produce from local farms available each week on the Van!
LET’S ALL DO OUR PART TO KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOOD SAFE! Eagle Fire and North Ada County Fire and Rescue asked the Association to remind residents that per A104.6 of the 2018 International Wildland Urban Interface Code as Adopted by Ada County, ALL FIREWORKS are PROHIBITED in the Wildland Urban Interface Zone.
ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION Monday July 4th
Everyone loves a parade! Decorate a vehicle, golf cart, bike, scooter, stroller or your pet! Children, teens, adults, groups and local businesses are all welcome! Parade staging starts at 10:15am in the Village Green parking lot and the Parade starts promptly at 11:00am. Cheering sections are invited to line the parade route and follow the fun from W. Hidden Springs Dr. to South Meadow Park! Immediately following the parade is a celebration at South Meadow Park until 3:00pm. There will be fun for the whole family, concert with Bobby Dee Keys Rock House Band, dancing, water slides, and food trucks (Pepe’s Tacos, Rusty’s Dogs, Lilteek’s Snow Cones and Fly Mobile Bar)!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE 4TH OF JULY PARADE & CELEBRATION
The Association needs your help! In accordance with the Association’s permit for this event from Ada County, volunteers are needed to walk the parade route (W Hidden Springs Dr) ahead of, alongside and just behind the parade participants and to manage road closures. Sadly, if we do not have enough volunteers by end of day June 30th, we will have to cancel the parade portion of this event. Please visit Sign Up Genius or call the office if you are available so we can plan on hosting this great event!
SEWER LINE CLEANING RESCHEDULED FOR MAY POSTPONED UNTIL LATER THIS SUMMER
Cleaning is still delayed due to equipment repairs. Master Rooter Plumbing will be cleaning the sanitary sewer mainlines located under the streets in Hidden Springs Phase 6 (Dry Creek Meadow) this summer. The cleaning activity should not affect your day to day use and will mostly go unnoticed other than the cleaning truck and camera truck moving along the road at times.
